Sektry-Ingatlan Kft. (“Sektry Estates,” “we,” “us,” or “our“) operates the website sektryestates.com (the “Site“). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the Site, why we collect it, how it’s used, and the rights you have over it.
We are a Hungarian company and process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Hungarian data protection law.

2. What Personal Data We Collect
We collect personal data you provide to us directly, including:
- Contact and inquiry forms (property inquiries, off-market property requests, agent contact forms, general contact form): name, email address, and phone number. On our general contact form, providing your email and phone number is optional, not mandatory — you can submit with just the information you’re comfortable sharing.
- Newsletter sign-up: email address, and name if provided.
- Live chat: any information you choose to share with us through the chat widget on the Site.
- Communications: anything you tell us directly by phone, email, or in person once we’re in contact.
We also collect limited technical data automatically when you visit the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and general location, via cookies and analytics tools (see Sections 5 and 6 below).
We do not knowingly collect any special categories of personal data (e.g. health, religion, political opinions) through the Site.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.
4. Who We Share Your Data With
We don’t sell or rent your data. We do share it with a limited number of service providers who help us run the Site and our business, each acting under their own data protection obligations:
- Hostinger — our website hosting provider, which also provides our business email (hello@sektryestates.com and individual agent addresses). Website and email data is processed on Hostinger’s infrastructure.
- Google — we use Google reCAPTCHA (spam/bot protection on our forms), Google Analytics (site usage statistics), and Google Business Profile (our business listing and reviews on Google). Data shared with Google is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Tidio — provides the live chat widget on our Site. Conversations you have through the chat widget are processed by Tidio on our behalf.
- Our agents — when you submit a property inquiry, it’s routed by email to the relevant agent(s) at Sektry Estates (each with an @sektryestates.com address hosted via Hostinger) so they can respond to you directly.
- Legal or public authorities — where we’re required to by Hungarian or EU law, or to protect our legal rights.
We do not currently use a separate email marketing platform — newsletter sign-ups are stored within our WordPress website.
5. Cookies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to make the Site work, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the Site (via Google Analytics). When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies, and you can change your preferences at any time by reopening the cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
Categories of cookies we use:
- Necessary — required for the Site to function (e.g. remembering your cookie preferences, enabling the property comparison and search tools).
- Analytics — Google Analytics cookies that help us understand site traffic and usage, only set with your consent.
- Functional — cookies that support features like the live chat widget.
6. International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers (Google, Tidio) may process data on servers located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this happens, we rely on the provider’s compliance with recognized safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure your data is protected to the same standard as under GDPR.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Inquiries that don’t become a client relationship: we keep your contact details for up to 3 years from your last contact with us, after which they’re deleted, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Active clients: retained for the duration of our engagement, plus any period required by Hungarian accounting, tax, or civil law record-keeping obligations.
- Newsletter sign-ups: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- Cookie/analytics data: retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings.
8. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”), where applicable.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Data portability — receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent (e.g. the newsletter or analytics cookies) — this won’t affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

If you believe your data protection rights haven’t been respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) — naih.hu — or with the supervisory authority in your own EU member state.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for adults seeking real estate services. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
10. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, including relying on our hosting provider’s security infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately for the type of information we handle.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
